The Salzachstüberl is worth a visit in summer and winter. We like to drive across the border to enjoy the beautiful weather, the great view and the delicious food at lunchtime.The small menu offers a nice selection of small and simple dishes that are delicious across the board. The real highlight are the daily specials. The food here is mostly good, home-style cuisine that tastes absolutely fantastic. Price-performance ratio is also right at the Salzachstüberl.The service is quick and warm. You just know each other if you visit the Salzachstüberl often. All in all: a clear 5-star rating. Keep it up!

The Salzachstüberl is located on the best viewing point with a view of Burghausen Castle. The best way to enjoy this is from the beer garden when the weather is good. But you can also find accommodation in the Stüberl when it rains. A very nice landlady offers small meals and drinks. Mainly a round of different sausages. But also one or two skin dishes. She likes the Veltliner very well. Of course not a gourmet restaurant, but for the expected level everything is ok.

I really liked it here. The view of the castle is great and the staff is very nice and quick. The menu is very thin, so you can only focus on a few dishes. Price-performance is top.

A very nice little restaurant with a fantastic view of Burghausen and the castle. The staff is very nice. The landlady came by personally to wish us a good appetite. Honest cuisine and fair prices. The meatloaf with fried egg tasted great, the apple strudel was also very good. The things were brought quickly. There are both tables and beach chairs for relaxing and enjoying a beer with a view of the castle. Thank God there is no hotel here! I don't know if you can sit inside. I only saw the seats outside and the weather was correspondingly good. Thank you for the great stay!
